By Alex Textiles is a small but very busy studio based in the countryside of Northamptonshire.
My range of homewares are entirely handmade using a combination of machine stitching, applique, freehand machine embroidery and printing to create my By Alex treasures. All of my collection is designed by myself taking inspiration from all around me.
I love good old country cottage charm and have filled my home with many trinkets and objects found and made along the way. My old Singer sewing machine takes pride of place, my fabrics are stored in old apple crates with baskets of ribbons, jars of buttons and bags of lavender in every nook and cranny.....what I like to call my little creative haven!
Every piece of my collection is special and because it is all handmade in Great Britain, no two pieces are ever identical, but every piece is always sent to its new home with love and care, to be cherished for many more years to come.
